Mollie Girton's interest in Complementary Alternative Medicine found its roots in her quest for better
energy levels after cancer. It was 1994, and Mollie was only 34 with small children, a time when she
should be enjoying her family and her life as a young wife and mother. She began a two-year course of
treatment that included a bone marrow transplant and long recuperation. Although she was grateful to
be recovering, she felt drawn to alternative sources of health, wanting a gentler and less invasive
method of healing. She began with a chiropractor followed by a naturopath. Then came acupuncture - it
became a time of learning as Mollie experienced Bach Flower essences, the Rosen Method,
hypnotherapy. Each modality offered that more personalized, gentle method of natural healing that
appealed to her, and more importantly, seemed to be working to shed light on the issues left by the
transplant.
Mollie's search provided an insight into the spirit/mind/body connection you hear everyone speaking of
today. This increasing interest on her behalf led to her wanting to learn some of the services in order to
help others. She has pursued all of her Reiki attunements as well as working with Master Ou Wen Wei, a spiritual healer from China who developed Pangu Shengong and certified her as an instructor in this very unique, simple exercise program. Shortly after, she returned to school becoming a certified reflexologist. Reflexology is an extremely gentle and yet deeply effective modality that seems to fit Mollie's need to be of assistance to others.
